Interactive Metranome
What is the Interactive Metranome (IM)?
Interactive Metronome (IM) is a fun, computer-based program that combines rhythm, movement, and feedback to help children strengthen the timing and coordination of their brain and body to improve focus and attention, coordination, memory, planning and processing speed. Many neurodiverse children—such as those with autism, ADHD, or motor delays—struggle with regulating their bodies, focusing their attention, and organizing movement. IM uses engaging, beat-based activities to “train the brain’s timing,” which is foundational for self-regulation, learning, and motor development.

Benefits of using Interactive Metranome
Sensory Integration
-
Improves how the brain processes and organizes incoming sensory information.
-
Supports children remaining regulated in multi-sensory environments.
-
Builds the foundation for smoother transitions and improved participation in daily activities.
Primitive Reflex Integration
-
Promotes rhythm and timing in the nervous system, which helps reduce the influence of retained reflexes (such as the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex, Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex, Moro reflex, etc.).
-
Encourages more mature motor patterns, better postural control, and improved coordination.
Gross Motor Development
-
Enhances balance, core stability, and whole-body coordination and supports smoother, more controlled movement for running, jumping, climbing, and playground skills.

Fine Motor Development
-
Strengthens timing and precision in hand movements which improves handwriting, tool use, and other skills requiring control and dexterity.

Attention and Self-Regulation
-
Trains children to pause, focus, and respond more thoughtfully instead of impulsively.
-
Builds sustained attention, working memory, and organizational skills that carry over into school and home life.

Interactive Metronome helps children’s brains and bodies “work together in rhythm,” creating a strong foundation for learning, movement and independence.

Administration Options: Depending on the needs of the child, Interactive Metranome® is offered in conjunction with other therapeutic methodologies or as a stand-alone intervention.
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
What is the Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP)?
The Safe & Sound Protocol is a gentle, music-based therapy that helps children feel calmer, safer, and more connected. Many neurodiverse kids—such as those with autism or ADHD—struggle with sound sensitivities, big emotions, or feeling on “high alert.” SSP uses specially filtered music to help the nervous system ‘tune in’ to sounds and sensations in a clearer way, so kids can feel safe, calm, and free to explore and connect.

Think of SSP as helping the body’s “alarm system” feel less triggered so your child can relax, listen, and participate more fully in daily life.
Benefits of the Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP)
-
Supports Emotional Regulation
-
Helps children shift from “fight-or-flight” mode into a calmer state.
-
Reduces reactivity, meltdowns, and emotional outbursts.
-
Builds a stronger foundation for coping with stress and transitions.
-
-
Improves Sensory Integration
-
Eases sound sensitivities and reduces startle responses to everyday noises.
-
Supports tolerance of noisy or unpredictable environments, like classrooms or playgrounds.
-
Helps the nervous system organize sensory input more effectively, so children can stay grounded.
-
-
Enhances Social Connection
-
Improves listening and attention to voices.
-
Encourages more comfortable eye contact, engagement, and communication.
-
Makes it easier for children to connect with peers and caregivers.
-
-
Boosts Attention & Participation
-
Promotes calm alertness, the “just-right” state for learning.
-
Helps children listen, follow directions, and stay focused longer in school.
-
The Safe and Sound Protocol helps children feel safe in their bodies, calm in their emotions, and more open to learning and connection.

Administration Options: Depending on the needs of the child, the Safe and Sound Protocol® is offered in conjunction with other therapeutic methodologies or as a stand-alone intervention.
